Ian is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Synaps. Among a number of other appointments, Ian is currently visiting Professor of infrastructure investment and construction at The Alliance Manchester Business School, Chairman of Geiger Counter Ltd, Senior Independent Director of Triple Point Social Housing REIT plc both listed funds, Chairman of EIX The Estates and Infrastructure Exchange, and Xinuos Inc board member.
He was the founder and Chairman of High-Point Rendel Group PLC and led the development of that multi-disciplinary group of companies specialising in business, management and engineering technology consultancy, with a network of offices internationally.
He has held many other public and private appointments including being Chairman of GCP Infrastructure Investments Limited, a listed FTSE 250 company, President and worldwide CEO of Cleveland Bridge and Dorman Long Group, and Chairman of Tomorrow's People, and the London regional council of the CBI. Ian was awarded his CBE in 2003 for services to business and charity.
